Delta Flight pilot Hayate Immelmann and Walküre singer Freyja Wion have already used song to hold back the Var Syndrome, a disease that turns its victims violently aggressive, but this sequel puts them up against a threat music alone cannot calm. Continuing directly from the first Macross Δ movie, the story follows an alternate continuity from the TV series, closing out arcs for Hayate, Freyja, and the rest of Delta Flight and Walküre.
