Synopsis
After losing a card game whose forfeits keep escalating, Keiichi Maebara, Mion, Rena, Satoko and Rika end up parading through town in costume and detouring to Yagouchi, an abandoned village outside Hinamizawa. There Mion tells them about the disused quarry nearby: a boy went into its hole years ago and never came out, and his father died when his car went over the edge into the river while searching for him. This one-shot short story sits between the original arcs and the answer arcs, in the same rumor-soaked register as the main series.
