Apollo seems like an ordinary human until his memories start surfacing as those of Apollonius, a fallen angel who once loved a human woman and turned against his own kind. Alongside his comrades, he fights the Shadow Angels, ancient beings who have returned after twelve thousand years to harvest humanity for its life energy, in a story rooted in that old betrayal and its fallout. Told across two feature-length episodes, this OVA reworks the events of the Genesis of Aquarion TV series rather than repeating them.
