Two days before their wedding, the tenants of Maison Ikkoku throw Yuusaku Godai and Kyoko Otonashi a rowdy pre-celebration party that spirals out of hand. During the chaos, Godai overhears that Kyoko is anxiously waiting on a letter, and spends the rest of the night convinced she's still holding out for another man. Ibuki Yagami crashes the gathering hoping to celebrate her own birthday, only to learn about the wedding herself, and Godai's doubts aren't put to rest until the following morning.
