Sei Iori is a middle schooler with a gift for building Gunpla models but little combat experience, until he meets Reiji, a mysterious fighter who pilots with startling skill. During the Second Gunpla Boom, when battling model kits has become a worldwide sport with an annual World Tournament, the two team up, pairing Sei's craftsmanship with Reiji's piloting, to climb toward the championship. This light novel adapts the story told in the original Gundam Build Fighters TV anime.
