Clare, ranked No. 47 among the half-human, half-Yoma warriors known as Claymores, hunts shape-shifting demons across a medieval island on behalf of a shadowy group called the Organization. Quieter and weaker than her peers, she carries a private motive: vengeance against an Awakened Being named Priscilla, the creature that killed her mentor, the legendary No. 1 warrior Teresa. Accompanied by Raki, a boy orphaned by a Yoma attack, Clare cuts her way through increasingly dangerous assignments while the Organization's true intentions stay hidden.
