Tomoya Aki, a high school otaku who funds his hobby with part-time work, encounters an inspiring girl during spring break — only to discover she is his barely noticeable classmate Megumi Kato. Determined to build a visual novel around her, Tomoya recruits artist Eriri Spencer Sawamura and novelist Utaha Kasumigaoka to form the doujin circle Blessing Software. The group's creative clashes and tangled personal history threaten the project before it even reaches a deadline.
