Ah Jie, a young cook set on becoming the greatest ramen chef alive, accidentally summons the goddess Duola and finds himself a summoner, a calling the world believed extinct. Pulled out of his kitchen, he falls in with Hana, who summons plants, and Miaowu, who summons beasts, and the three sign on with the Guardians. Ranged against them is the rogue summoner Huanxin, and Ah Jie has to learn the rules of a craft he never wanted one fight at a time.
