Synopsis
College student Seigi Nakata pulls a stranger away from a group of drunken attackers one night, not realizing he has just met Richard Ranasinghe de Vulpian, a jewelry appraiser as multilingual as he is guarded about his own past. Grateful and curious, Seigi brings Richard a family ring to appraise, and Richard's read on the stone opens the first of many cases where a gem's history says more about its owner than they intended to reveal.
