Seiya Kanie, a narcissistic former child star, is dragged at gunpoint by the stoic Isuzu Sento to visit Amagi Brilliant Park — a failing amusement park on the verge of closure. The park's owner, Princess Latifah Fleuranza, reveals that its staff are refugees from a magical realm called Maple Land and that the park needs 250,000 visitors within three months or loses its land. Seiya takes over as manager, applying his ego and showbiz instincts to a park whose mascots are actual fairies in costume.
