Alvin, an earnest but hapless swordsman, meets Karla, a dark elf who introduces herself as a healer, on the road. Karla turns out to be far better at insulting people than casting recovery spells, and after accidentally hitting Alvin with a curse, the two end up stuck traveling together. The manga plays their mismatched partnership for comedy as Alvin's sincere attempts at adventuring keep colliding with Karla's sharp tongue and unreliable magic.
