Synopsis
Inside a human body, trillions of anthropomorphized cells carry out their daily work. A rookie red blood cell designated AE3803 keeps getting lost on her oxygen deliveries, while white blood cell U-1146 patrols the corridors hunting bacteria and viruses that breach the body's defenses. Each episode stages a medical event — a scrape, a food-poisoning infection, heatstroke, cancer — as an action set piece, with platelets sealing wounds, killer T cells mounting assaults, and macrophages cleaning up the aftermath. Based on Akane Shimizu's manga and animated by David Production.
