Six months after their last battle, Usagi Tsukino and Chibiusa receive a vision from Helios, a pegasus pleading for help as the Dead Moon Circus descends on Tokyo to revive the sealed Queen Nehellenia. Working through creatures called Lemures, the Circus turns people's dreams into nightmares to drain their energy, and Mamoru falls ill from a curse tied to the sacred ground Helios is trying to protect. As their old transformations fail against this new threat, the Guardians have to find a stronger power before the Circus buries the city in darkness.
