Escha and Logy share the understaffed Development Department of a frontier town in a world edging toward its end, where alchemy is the only thing keeping people alive. Escha knows the region's old techniques, handed down through generations; Logy arrives fresh from the research city of Central with newer methods he learned there. This two-volume manga adapts the Atelier Escha & Logy video game, following the pair as they combine their contrasting approaches to keep both the department and the town afloat.
