魍魎の匣
魍魎の匣
Crime novelist Tatsumi Sekiguchi and magazine editor Morihiko Toriguchi are drawn into a string of gruesome murders around Musashino and Mitaka in the summer of 1952, where dismembered schoolgirls keep turning up stuffed inside wooden boxes. They turn to Akihiko Chuuzenji, an antiquarian bookseller and practicing onmyouji, whose knowledge of old religious rites and local folklore starts pulling the case apart. Adapted from Natsuhiko Kyougoku's novel Mouryou no Hako, the manga follows the three as buried superstition and modern crime start to intersect.
