Synopsis
Disheartened after quitting judo, university student Haruki Bandou has no real direction until his childhood friend Kazuma Hashimoto pitches an unheard-of idea: starting Japan's first competitive men's cheerleading team. The two recruit a handful of misfits, among them the hot-tempered Wataru Mizoguchi and the always-hungry Ton, and build the squad BREAKERS from scratch, loosely inspired by Waseda University's real Shockers team. This novel traces BREAKERS' rocky formation, the story later adapted into both a manga and a TV anime.
