Synopsis
Konata Izumi is an athletic, intelligent high-school girl whose grades suffer because she spends her free time on anime, manga, and video games. Together with her friends — the diligent tsundere Kagami Hiiragi, her easygoing twin sister Tsukasa, and the gentle bookworm Miyuki Takara — the series turns mundane school life into extended riffs on eating chocolate cornets, cramming for exams, and navigating awkward conversations. Adapted from Kagami Yoshimizu's four-panel manga and produced by Kyoto Animation, the show is dense with otaku in-jokes and pop-culture references. Each episode ends with the Lucky Channel segment, a mock variety show hosted by the increasingly unhinged idol Akira Kogami.
