Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious

Novice goddess Ristarte is assigned to save the S-rank difficulty world of Gaeabrande from its Demon Lord. She summons Seiya Ryuuguuin, a Japanese human whose stats far exceed any other candidate — only to discover he refuses to set foot in Gaeabrande until he has trained to absurd overkill levels. He buys three sets of armor (one to wear, a spare, and a spare for the spare), unleashes maximum-power attacks on the weakest slimes, and insists on confirming corpses are truly dead by incinerating them. Ristarte narrates his behaviour with mounting exasperation, but his paranoia repeatedly proves justified as the Demon Lord's forces turn out to be far more dangerous than their rank suggests.
