Synopsis
Akito Takagi has already decided he wants to make manga for a living, even though he can't draw. This two-chapter prequel to Bakuman, told across chapters titled age 13 and age 14, follows him through his middle school years, testing story ideas on his own and looking for an artist willing to team up with him. It is set entirely before he meets Moritaka Mashiro, so the partnership and the Weekly Shounen Jump career that follow are still ahead of him.
