Synopsis
Years before Yotsuba&! began, early versions of its cast turned up in a handful of short comics. One strip follows Ena Ayase making an odd discovery on her own; another gathers a very early Yotsuba, her father Yousuke Koiwai, and Ena's sister Fuuka around the green-haired girl's latest mischief. Slight and gag-driven, the pieces were collected in the Azumanga Two book and work as a dry run for the character dynamics Yotsuba&! would later build a full series around.
