Shinji Ikari and Asuka Langley Soryu have been inseparable since childhood, needling each other the way old friends do, until new transfer student Rei Ayanami shows up in class and throws that balance off. As Shinji tries to sort out what he actually feels for each girl, the adults around him, including his own parents, keep inserting themselves into the drama. This manga drops the Evangelion cast into a world where Shinji's parents are both alive and the mecha battles never happen, replacing them with school romantic comedy.
