This light novel pairs two prequel stories set before Yuki Cross arrives at the academy. In "Ice Blue Sin," Day Class student Fuka Kisaragi is drawn into the forbidden Moon Dormitory and catches the attention of Night Class aristocrat Hanabusa Aidou, who knows more about an accident buried in her memory than he first lets on. The second story follows a younger Zero Kiryu training as a vampire hunter under Toga Yagari, alongside fellow trainee Kaito Takamiya, before either of them set foot at Cross Academy.
