Four side stories circle the same months the film Your Name covers, each told by someone the movie kept at its edges. Mitsuha Miyamizu's little sister Yotsuha watches her sibling's behavior turn baffling from across the breakfast table in Itomori. Mitsuha's classmate Katsuhiko Teshigawara weighs what the shrinking mountain town still means to him. Taki Tachibana stumbles through an entire day trapped in Mitsuha's body. And Mitsuha's estranged father Toshiki looks back on how he came to Itomori in the first place, filling in corners of the story the film had no room for.
