A typhoon tears through Alpha Hatsuseno's café on the edge of Yokohama, and rather than simply rebuild in place, she sets out on foot to earn the money to fix it and see more of the quiet, half-empty world beyond her usual streets. Her travels take her past a Japan reshaped by a shifted coastline and an erupted Mount Fuji, where she meets an old man on the road, catches up with the courier Kokone Takatsu, and encounters a male android like herself for the first time. This second OVA continues Alpha's story from the original Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou with a longer journey away from home.
