Before Teikou Middle School's basketball club splinters into rivals, Tetsuya Kuroko, Ryouta Kise, Daiki Aomine, Shintarou Midorima, Atsushi Murasakibara, and Seijuurou Akashi are still just teammates figuring out how to get along off the court. Opening from manager Satsuki Momoi's point of view, the stories follow ordinary school-life moments: a rescue mounted by Kuroko and Aomine after older students corner Momoi, a summer test of courage in an abandoned house, Kise and Kuroko facing off on a dance video game. This light novel spinoff is set during the Teikou years of Kuroko's Basketball, before the main series begins.
