Makoto Hashimoto spends her days dreading the announcement that her junior high class has been picked for the Program, and then it comes. This time the draft belongs to the Navy: the students are shipped to a naval school, run through a series of wargames and made to kill one another under the pretext of training future soldiers, mostly for the amusement of the officers watching. This manga spin-off reworks the Battle Royale premise around Makoto and her classmates rather than the original novel's class.
