Col, the young man raised in her parents' bathhouse, has finally set out to pursue the priesthood he has dreamed of for years, so Myuri runs away from home and stows away on his riverboat, and by the time he finds her they are much too far downstream to turn back. This light novel picks up a generation after Spice and Wolf, trading the original's merchant trade routes for Col's road toward the clergy.
