Kenshiro, heir to the deadly martial art Hokuto Shinken, keeps wandering the nuclear wasteland his world has become, standing between defenceless villages and the warlords who prey on them. The first cour of this television adaptation ran through the Fang Clan arc and closed on his duel with the Nanto Seiken swordsman Rei; the second picks the story up from there, carrying Kenshiro deeper into the fight against the strongmen carving up what is left of civilization.
