Finn Oldman, an orphan scraping by on the streets, stumbles into a casino shootout caused by a man wielding one of the 52 X-Playing Cards, a secret royal deck in which each card grants a different superhuman power. He is recruited as the fifth member of High Card, a covert unit operating under the King of Fourland's orders to recover the scattered deck while its members pose as employees of luxury automaker Pinochle. Finn's own card is the Two of Spades, which lets him conjure a pistol of perfect aim.
