In Newport, a near-future Japanese city choking on bacterial air pollution so severe that gas masks are mandatory outdoors, rookie officer Leona Ozaki joins the Tank Police, a squad that patrols the streets in miniature battle tanks. Between her partner Al, her trigger-happy squad leader Charles Brenten, and her own beloved tank Bonaparte, Leona goes after the thief Buaku and his android accomplices, the Puma sisters Unipuma and Annapuma, in a story that plays its dystopian premise for slapstick as often as action.
