After their world-ending battle in Ente Isla, Devil King Sadao Maou and Hero Emilia Yusa turn up as high schoolers in modern-day Japan, dropped into the same classroom instead of the same fast-food counter. Their old war carries straight over into homework, school festivals, and a running struggle for control of the student council, with Chiho Sasaki's obvious crush on Maou complicating things further. This spin-off reimagines the original Devil Is a Part-Timer! cast as classmates rather than continuing its part-time-job storyline.
