Synopsis
The unnamed high-schooler who narrates these stories and his classmate Morino Yoru share an unsettling hobby: they trail the killers behind the murders piling up around their town, not to stop them but to understand what drives them. It starts with a serial killer's diary Morino picks up and a Saturday spent looking for a body nobody has found yet. The volume takes its name from one of its six linked cases, a spree in which victims' wrists are severed and carried off, and the narrator keeps what he works out to himself every time.
