Synopsis
Abandoned as a newborn and taken in by a woodcutter's family, Sirone Arian grows up poor in the Kingdom of Tormia but obsessed with books. What draws him most is the history of magic, a subject reserved by custom for nobles. A chance meeting with a traveling mage teaches him how to enter the 'spirit zone,' the first real step toward casting, and Sirone sets out to prove that a commoner can master magic anyway. That pursuit pushes him into a world of trials spanning multiple planes of existence.
