Synopsis
Arslan, the fourteen-year-old crown prince of Pars, loses his kingdom when the neighboring Lusitanians ambush his father's army and take the capital. Escaping with the loyal general Daryun, he sets out to build the alliance he'll need to reclaim his throne: first the strategist Narsus and, soon after, the minstrel Gieve and the priestess Farangis. The novel series follows that journey across a world modeled on ancient Persia.
