In the ruins of Elysion, Seiya takes a blow from Hades' cursed sword while shielding Athena, and Hades pauses over something familiar in the boy's face that he cannot place. To save Seiya, Saori sets out for the previous Holy War, 243 years in the past, where a boy named Tenma served Athena as her Pegasus Saint alongside Libra Dohko and Aries Shion, and where the goddess was a girl named Sasha. Written and drawn by original creator Masami Kurumada, this manga weaves the two eras together as a canon continuation of Saint Seiya.
