Synopsis
Akira is a street orphan in the slum district of a ruined future city, scraping by until he sets his sights on becoming a hunter and braving the dangerous ruins beyond the walls. Alpha, an artificial intelligence only he can perceive, offers to train him in exchange for exploring a restricted ruin she cannot reach on her own. Sheryl, a slum girl who ends up leading a gang of her own, becomes an ally as Akira's circle grows. This TV adaptation follows the light novel's opening stretch, tracking Akira's climb from powerless slum kid to hunter.
