手塚治虫のブッダ -赤い砂漠よ!美しく-

Prince Siddhartha Gautama grows up in the Shakya kingdom groomed by his father for a life of warfare against the rival Kosala kingdom, but a friendship with the outcast girl Migaila exposes him to the poverty and suffering outside the palace walls. As war between Shakya and Kosala draws closer, Siddhartha turns away from the throne he is meant to inherit to search for answers beyond royal duty. This film adapts the opening arc of Osamu Tezuka's Buddha manga.
