Synopsis
In a world at war with a blight of demonic faeries, condemned criminals are sentenced to serve as heroes, a punishment held to be harsher than execution: they are revived and sent back to the front to die as many times as the war demands. Xylo Forbartz, a former Holy Knight commander condemned for putting down his own corrupted goddess, leads Penal Hero Unit 9004 through that cycle when Teoritta, a goddess of swords, picks him as her contracted knight over his objections.
