You, Fireworks, and a Promise

君と花火と約束と

Makoto Natsume meets Aki Hayama on his first day of high school in Nagaoka, and she tells him something he has no way to explain: since she was small, her great-grandmother has been telling her that she would one day meet a boy named Makoto Natsume, and that he would paint a picture for her. Aki already has a painting of fireworks in hand. Chasing what that picture means pulls the two of them toward the city's summer fireworks festival and a promise neither of them remembers making.
