Are You a Landmine, Chihara-san?

On the first day of a new term, high school junior Kuroki finds himself seated next to Mai Chihara, the girl everyone whispers about. Between her all-black gothic style and unreadable stare, Chihara has a reputation as a 'jirai' girl, dangerous to get close to. The closer Kuroki actually gets to her, though, the more her rumored edge gives way to something much softer than her reputation lets on, and he starts wondering how much of what people say about her is even true.
