Nozomi Yumehara, an ordinary middle schooler unsure what she wants from life, finds a talking book that leads her to Coco, a visitor from the Palmier Kingdom whose homeland has been destroyed by the villainous organization Nightmare. She recruits four classmates to become Pretty Cures alongside her: Urara Kasugano, Rin Natsuki, Komachi Akimoto, and Karen Minazuki. Together they search for the 55 scattered Pinkies that can grant a wish and restore the kingdom, and Coco's determination pushes Nozomi toward a goal of her own: becoming a teacher.
