Kotarou Azumi, a quiet third-year middle schooler who writes fiction in his spare time, and Akane Mizuno, a dedicated track-team runner, end up in the same class in Kawagoe and begin noticing each other through small, awkward encounters — a shared family-restaurant sighting, an accidental LINE message, a school sports festival shift. Their halting first romance plays out through shy text exchanges and after-school detours as both prepare for high school entrance exams that may send them to different schools.
