When Hime — a childhood friend Haruto Satou has quietly loved — returns to her fantasy homeland to be married off, Haruto crashes the wedding and impulsively takes the groom's place. The act binds him to an ancient pact: the Ring King, a warrior destined to collect the rings of five princess brides, is the only one who can stand against the Abyssal King threatening their world. Haruto must now fight his way through an unfamiliar realm to protect Hime and fulfill a role he stumbled into.
