Convicted cyborg Makina Kurusu and enhanced human Chiharu Kujou are sentenced to scrub down a derelict interplanetary train after one too many joyrides through restricted space lanes, with sharp-tongued patrol officer Ryouko Kanzaki handing out the assignment. Cleanup duty turns into chaos when the Milky☆Subway suddenly fires up on its own, hurling the pair and four fellow convicts into a runaway ride across the galaxy with no driver and no way to stop.
