Yukari Maki prides herself on being honest, which at school mostly means telling her classmate Yusuke Kusaka exactly when he is cutting corners. Yusuke, widely written off as a delinquent, wants her to stop hovering. When a new rumor about him starts going around, Yukari refuses to let it spread and follows him to say so. He does not go home: he stops at a music studio, and what she hears through the door is a Yusuke nobody at school has met.
