Chisato Nishikigi, the strongest Lycoris agent in the Direct Attack organization — a secret all-girl task force that keeps Japan's peace from the shadows — runs a café called LycoReco as a cover. When the efficient but insubordinate Takina Inoue is reassigned to LycoReco after defying orders during a weapons bust, the two work the café's odd jobs while Chisato — a pacifist sharpshooter who uses only rubber bullets — draws Takina into a fight against the terrorist Majima, who aims to expose DA's existence to the public.
