Kanon Nakagawa is a national idol whose singing carries real power, and when a loose spirit crosses her path she takes it on herself instead of leaving it to Keima Katsuragi. With Elsie's help she transforms into the magical girl Magical Star, fighting with her feathered robe and her songs. The three chapters sit apart from The World God Only Knows' main plot and hand Kanon the lead role she never gets there.
