Sousuke Sagara, a sergeant with the covert military outfit Mithril, enrolls at Jindai High School under orders to guard Kaname Chidori without telling her why, and he reads every ordinary school day as a combat situation. Kurz Weber and Melissa Mao back him from a distance, and the assignment escalates into a hijacking that puts Kaname in enemy hands. The first of three director's cut films, it re-edits the 2002 television series for theaters using the material of the opening novel.
