Miko Yotsuya, an ordinary high-school girl, wakes up one day able to see grotesque spirits hovering over everyone around her. With no way to fight or banish them, Miko's only survival strategy is to pretend she sees nothing — even when towering apparitions press their faces against hers and ask whether she can see them. Between classes with her oblivious best friend Hana and shrine visits that draw increasingly dangerous attention, Miko's poker face is all that stands between her and whatever the spirits do to people who acknowledge them.
