Tatewaki Kuno buys an egg on the promise that the legendary phoenix inside will finally win him a fight against Ranma Saotome. It hatches on his scalp, decides he is home, grows fast and starts wrecking Tokyo, and prying the bird off Kuno's head turns into everyone's problem. Ranma, Akane Tendo and the rest of the Nerima crowd take that job on in a feature film adapted from the phoenix arc of the original manga.
